Minutes of Manchester NO2ID Meeting, July 2008

Apologies for the late posting of these minutes; we could use volunteers to take and write up minutes at our meetings.

Someone to volunteer to talk to FAB Café about a film screening on Sunday 28th September.

Dave to acquire a stock of NO2ID Pledge business cards.

Volunteers Needed

We need someone to contact more faith groups, local community groups etc. and invite ourselves to come and talk to them about the Database State and its implications.

We haven't sent out press releases for a while. Someone who has the time to write press releases, or to adapt releases sent by other groups, would really help raise the group's media profile. The NO2ID Campaigner's Handbook has some very useful tips on writing press releases, and you can see previous Manchester NO2ID releases.

Dave managed to lose the Manchester NO2ID PAYG phone over Christmas, and has paid for a replacement. The phone number remains the same.

Last Meeting's Minutes

Dave has not yet been given the footage from his appearance on Channel M. He needs to chase this up.

We have not yet contacted the Cornerhouse re. a screening of Taking Liberties on the Big Screen at the Triangle.

Minutes of Manchester NO2ID Meeting, 12th December 2007

Recent Events

Manchester NO2ID has very busy since our November meeting. As well as our regular street stall, we've flyered the Lord Mayor of Manchester at the Central Library, held an emergency street stall in the light of the HMRC data leak, and reached the Information Commissioner himself at an ICO conference in Manchester.
