Stop the Database State

Attached below is a NO2ID press release concerning a proposal from the EU for a new data protection law applying to the whole EU. As highlighted in the press release, although there are some benefits for individuals from the proposals, there is a real potential that it could become easier for more personal information to be shared by governments and corporations.

The development of these proposals certainly needs watching, as they could clearly become a Trojan horse for more data sharing and an expansion of the database state.
