Manchester NO2ID co-ordinator Dave Page appeared on Beswick at Breakfast this morning at 7:30am (1h30 into the programme), ahead of tomorrow's ID Card Con public meeting.
During the BBC Radio Manchester interview, Dave incorrectly stated that the IPS have spent £500 million on advertising for the rollout of ID cards in the North-West. In fact, the Government have spent over £500,000 on their advertising campaign featuring animated fingerprints, described by NO2ID as patronising hype
.
Dave would like to apologise sincerely for his slip of the tongue. NO2ID prides itself on being a campaign which presents decent, true and substantiated information about the National Identity Scheme, without misleading the public through half-truths.
