Correction: Beswick at Breakfast

Manchester NO2ID co-ordinator Dave Page appeared on Beswick at Breakfast this morning at 7:30am (1h30 into the programme), ahead of tomorrow's ID Card Con public meeting.

During the BBC Radio Manchester interview, Dave incorrectly stated that the IPS have spent £500 million on advertising for the rollout of ID cards in the North-West. In fact, the Government have spent over £500,000 on their advertising campaign featuring animated fingerprints, described by NO2ID as patronising hype.

Dave would like to apologise sincerely for his slip of the tongue. NO2ID prides itself on being a campaign which presents decent, true and substantiated information about the National Identity Scheme, without misleading the public through half-truths.
