A number of North-West NO2ID supporters will be meeting on Friday evening at Liverpool Lime Street station for drinks, chat and planning. National co-ordinator Phil Booth will be there, along with Liverpool co-ordinator Kev Beaumont and Manchester co-ordinator Dave Page.

Plan is 7pm Friday at Liverpool Lime Street station, venue is Coopers, which is by the cash points (right of the main departure boards), It's upstairs - you'll see the entrance by said cash points. Coopers is normally pretty much empty and it's nice and central & easy to locate.

The UK national DNA database is the largest of its kind in the world, containing records of all those who have been arrested in recent years. One in 20 citizens have their DNA fingerprint on file. Human rights organisations such as Liberty protest that the system goes too far whilst others argue that the database should be extended to all citizens.

We'll be encouraging people to take the NO2ID Pledge, and collecting signatures for the NO2ID petition to keep people in touch with the campaign.

Manchester NO2ID will be sponsoring a dystopian film screening at the FAB Café on Portland Street, Manchester. The film will probably be Terry Gilliam's excellent vision of a bureaucratic database state gone mad, "Brazil".

Join us to relax, enjoy the film and ask any questions you may have about the NO2ID campaign against identity cards and the Database State.
