Power2010 and Unlock Democracy are holding a hustings at the Hough End Centre, Mauldeth Road West, at 7:30pm on Thursday 22nd April.
Firstly, it would be good if any residents of Manchester Withington could attend the hustings and ask questions of the parliamentary candidates about ID cards, the database state, ContactPoint, the NHS Spine and other initiatives. See http://www.no2id.net/dbstate if you want to swot up.
Secondly, we've been invited to hold a stall at the event. This will be a fairly standard No2ID stall - we'll hand out leaflets to visitors, and encourage them to sign our petition. If people can volunteer to help out with this, it'd be fantastic. Similarly, if you can transport the stall from Levenshulme to Withington, let me know.
I'd like to get photos of as many of the Withington candidates signing the pledge as possible (I'll have to get some more sheets printed off, since we've mislaid the big laminated A2 pledge sheet). It'd make a great story for our site and release to the local press!
